HICK STORY
Meet the Head HICK's – Cory & Amanda Bruner
Some people chase careers. Others chase freedom. Cory Bruner, founder of HICK Clothing Brand, grew up in a small hick town in Central Nebraska — where sunrises mean hard work, and respect’s earned, not given.
After years in Corporate America, Cory still felt the pull of his small-town hick. In 2023, alongside his wife Amanda, a proud Texan from Central Texas, they turned that pull into a purpose — launching Modish Boutique, Cowgirls Tavern and later the HICK Clothing Brand.
What started as a dream to represent real country living has grown into a full-blown lifestyle movement that celebrates rural America, blue-collar work ethic, and the people who still believe a handshake means something.
Who We Are
At HICK, we don’t apologize for who we are — we celebrate it.
Being a HICK means you’ve got grit in your soul, mud on your boots, and pride in your heart. It’s not an insult — it’s a lifestyle and a badge of honor.
Every shirt, hat, and hoodie we make tells that story — the story of small-town roots, hard work, and country freedom.
Cory, Amanda, and their one hick son still live those values every day while running their family businesses:
- HICK Clothing Brand — rugged apparel for proud small-town souls
- Cowgirls Tavern — the heart of Texas music, food & community
- Modish Boutique — rustic-chic style for modern country women
Our Mission
To keep small-town spirit alive, one shirt at a time.
To create authentic country clothing that honors the working class, rural families, and the freedom of backroads.
We’re not fashion — we’re heritage wear.
We’re not chasing trends — we’re keeping tradition alive.
Our Promise
Every HICK product is built with the same integrity, work ethic, and authentic pride that raised us.
Whether you’re from the country or just wish you were, you’re part of the family when you wear HICK.
HICK Clothing Brand — Grit. Pride. Freedom. Worn Loud.
